WHAT WE OFFER

PROGRAM & SERVICES

SHORT TERM RESIDENTIAL THERAPEUTIC PROGRAM

Designed to help youths overcome trauma and aid them in their successful transition into the next phase of life.

Humanistic Foundation, Inc. utilizes Trauma-Informed practices to provide services that can be individually tailored. Each resident is matched with a primary clinician who meets with them one-on-one at least twice a week. The purpose of this one-on-one interaction is to identify internal and external triggers that help in identifying and deescalating possible negative situations that can resurface. Upon completion of gathering information, an initial Needs and Services Plan is formulated and tailored with youth’s specific goals and needs to address the youth’s projected treatment.

TRAUMA FOCUSED COGNITIVE BEHAVIORAL THERAPY

Providing youths with behavior modification strategies to help them overcome difficulties related to traumatic life events.

Trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy is an evidence-based psychotherapy that aims at addressing the needs of children and adults with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and other difficulties related to traumatic life events. Its goal is to change patterns of thinking or behavior that are behind a minor’s internal and external difficulties, thusly changing the way the client exhibits and express their feelings and thoughts. Our Therapists provide individual sessions and group sessions one hour weekly to discuss thought stopping techniques, positive problem solving, and the importance of developing immediate short and long-term goals.

SUBSTANCE EDUCATION
& ANGER MANAGEMENT TREATMENT

Counseling youths on the dangers of drugs and alcohol and helping them overcome bad habits while promoting healthier alternative behaviors

Using a combination of group discussions, habit building workshops, and behavior modification techniques, our programmings seeks to help youth steer clear of drug and alcohol abuse by providing a safe space for them to deconstruct their current habits with the intention of developing healthier, more sustainable behavior patterns. Our staff is devoted to developing and maintaining positive relationships with the youth and serving as mentors who model positive behaviors in addition to promoting them.
